There are a number of school grants available for events, activities, celebrations which take place  during British Science Week which runs between 13-22nd March. As British Science Week falls just before projects for the TeenTech Awards are due to be submitted, you could use this funding to cover the cost of project materials or even run a special event to celebrate the work teams have done with the rest of the school, parents and the local community.
Your school may be eligible for grants of £300 – £700. Plus you can receive free support, resources, activity ideas from the British Science Association and how-to-guides to help celebrate British Science Week 2015.  The Kick-Start Fund is designed to help schools in challenging circumstances by inspiring teachers to organise their own STEM events for British Science Week.
There is also a new Community Grant of £500 for community groups whose targeted audience/participants include those not traditionally engaged with science. These might be people who are Black Asian Minority Ethnic (BAME); with low socio-economic status (SES); not in education employment or training (NEET); or who live in a remote and rural location.
Deadline for grant application is 25th November
If you intend to use to funding to support your TeenTech Award students or to promote their work, please make this clear on your submission.More information about these grants can be found here:
