For Children

Childline is a 24-hour helpline for children in distress or danger. Trained volunteer counsellors comfort, advise and protect children and young people who may feel they have nowhere else to turn. The Childline helpline number is 0800 1111. Children can visit the website if they prefer not to call which also offers information and advice, message boards, online chat with a Childline counsellor and other help.

Kooth is a counselling service, offering live chat friendly discussion boards, and a place where you can Write in your own daily journal to track your feelings or emotions and reflect on how you’re doing.

YoungMinds is a charity focussed on young people’s mental health.

Health For Teens is an NHS website with useful information and support.

Let’s Talk-Wellbeing is a service that provides psychological assessment and treatment for what are known as mild to moderate common mental health problems, which 1 in 4 of us will suffer with at some stage in our lives. This service is provided across Nottingham, Derby and Leicestershire and Rutland.

 

For Adults

The NSPCC Child Protection Helpline –  0808 800 5000 – offers advice and support to adults concerned about the welfare of a child. This number is available to call 24 hours a day.
