TeenTech Teachers – London

Come and join us for our virtual CPD twilight event for teachers in London, taking place online. The event will be led by Ruth Seabrook (Principal Teaching Fellow, School of Education, University of Roehampton), Kathy Dare (TeenTech City of Tomorrow Project Manager) and Maggie Philbin, (Technology reporter and CEO TeenTech). Ruth will be explaining why Roehampton Uni values the TeenTech City of Tomorrow project and will offer further practical guidance about running it in schools.

This session would be beneficial to leaders of Years 5, 6, 7 or teachers with responsibility for D&T or STEAM subjects who can then share the information with colleagues and deliver the project whichever way suits your school best. We make all our resources available to you at no cost.

Date: Tuesday 28th April (4:00pm to 4:45pm)
Venue: Online
To book a place: Fill out the form below

  • Decide whether to run the project in your own school or become a ‘hub’ and work with others

All participating schools will have the opportunity to send a team to the Virtual National Showcase in June

What teachers say about the project:

‘The children have been inspired. They experienced two extremely creative days and are still talking about it. The parents were also very impressed. They enjoyed learning about ‘the bigger picture’, talking to real people in real life jobs. It opened their minds to greater things beyond the classroom. More please St Josephs Catholic Voluntary Academy

‘A great opportunity for teamwork and creativity. The children were able to work innovatively and use deeper thinking skills in their designs. Some of the children with SEN loved being given the opportunity to use their skills’  Ratby Primary
